I am using Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 as AV. I find it slows down my laptop quite a bit. The start-up takes about 5 minutes. Any standard software like MS-office and adobe acrobat reader have to run by Kaspersky app control and it take about a minute to open these files. Even outlook express and IE take more than aminute to load.
Kaspersky is displaying messages saying updates need to be made, updating and getting to 100% but never finishing the update then use the following fix. Solution. Right click the Kaspersky system tray icon (usually in the bottom right of the screen). Click Settings. Under Update, click Settings.
The Kaspersky Updater Utility takes a some time when you download the updates for the very first time, after-wards it takes only just a few minutes to download the latest updates, as the program supports incremental updates. Now you will feel the time difference when updating kaspersky.
