The VPN client connects just fine and yeilds the vpn ip but the computer cannot ping any internal ip's. 1 user has no problems connecting and traversing the internal network.

Cisco IPSec VPN Client is not supported on Windows 8, it has never been tested on Windows 8 and it is not on the roadmap. Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client is the only supported VPN client on Windows 8.
