I have Time Warner coming in going to a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH with DD-wrt V24-SP2 (8/7/10) std. That router feeds a Vonage router (vdv21-vd). Incoming bandwidth (speedtest.net) with QOS disabled on the Buffalo is 30.1 down and 4.91 up. I’m trying to setup QOS service because when my backup is going on my voice quality clips.
Jul 03, 2017 · Quality of service rules only work if the router and the quality of service algorithm can create an artificial bottleneck to redirect traffic as the QoS handler sees fit. If you use values equal to or larger than the maximum capacity of your connection then you give the QoS handler no wiggle room and the system becomes significantly less effective. I do not use DD-WRT, but it seems that getting QoS to work requires some fiddling. I suggest to read carefully this post : dd-wrt router firmware QoS troubleshooting from October 2010 (although it only shapes outgoing traffic), where the accepted answer describes a recent QoS script that apparently worked for both answerer and poster. Off the topic is there any reason even at 2.28 and auto update checked in you still have 2.0 QOS DB dated 2015. instead of V4.0 dated 2017. As there are more than few keep reporting the QOS tends to broke at certian instances and no more priority and live traffic.

There are even people selling routers with DD-WRT already flashed on them. It’s pretty safe to say that flashing DD-WRT on most routers is a u can do a reboot with qos on, then look as lsmod command, no sfe driver listed. turn off qos, reboot again, sfe driver will appear in lsmod. Apr 19, 2010 · With Linksys E2500 running dd-wrt, download on Comcast (X1 router), download speed was around 1Mb. I turned on QOS and set up/down speeds, and can now get nearly the speed advertised: 25Mb down
